Hey guys I’m excited to say I finally found a band saw in my price range that meets my needs. I found it on Craigslist, it’s a 3/4 hp 14” band saw with a base, and it has about 6” of resaw capability. It does however need some fixes. The bracket that is pushed by the adjustment screw to center the blade on the wheel is broken. I believe it is a cast part. Here is a picture: Also the bracket that holds a block guide (not sure of real name) is broken (just the right side one). Picture: Does anyone have any ideas how to fix these things? Could a local welder make a fix? Are these parts replaceable with over the counter generic parts? The saw brand is Grand Rapids Industrial Parts (parts?... forgot, it starts with a p though) Thanks everyone! I’m excited to get her running! -- Jim from Rivertown Woodcraft | Grand Rapids, MI | www.YouTube.com/user/RivertownWoodcraft |
