Is there a way through the toolbar or settings or something to see if people commented on my posts? Currently I just go back through and look at all my posts periodically…

Thanks,
T

See that little Green Button up on the Right Side with the eyeball in it that says ”Watch”?

If this was My Post and I wanted to know if anyone has Commented on it, I’d click it so it changes to Red and says ”Unwatch” with a Stroke through the Eyeball. You are now “Watching” Your Posts. (I agree. It seems backwards to me)

Then Higher Up, at the Very Top Right is a Pink Button that says “Pulse”. Click on that and you will go to YOUR Pulse Page.

Among all the other things you can click on, You’ll see inside one of the Brown Buttons ”my watchlist”.

Click on that and all the New Comments on your Posts SHOULD come up. Click on whichever one you want to go and see the new Comments.

ALSO: (Not Complex At All. Is It!!) On the FAR Right is the word ”active”. You can set it to one of three choices. USE “24 hours”. The other ones are next to Useless IMHO!!

A1jim does a fantastic job welcoming new LJ’s to the site and posting some dated material.

Useful information like this to new members is informative. I’ve been here a month and didn’t know these features existed.

Thanks

Paul

Kate, in the upper right is the MYLUMBERJOCKS drop down menu- it is in there. That was exactly the thing I needed!

I’m not sure how this is happening but when I make a post or am watching a post, if there is activity on that thread I am sent an email. Sometimes there is a little bit of a lag in when I get the email and when the post has been made but it makes it real easy to see what is happening with the posts I am interested in.

Newbie: That’s probably because you have the “Red- UNWATCH Button” on in the upper right corner showing. That’s what cause the Auto E-Mail to come to your In box.

If you change that to the “Green- Watch button” that means your NOT watching anymore and the e-mails will automatically stop. (The Buttons are Backwards if you ask me!)

“The buttons are verbs not nouns!” Oh Really? Thank you for the English Lesson!

If we got that changed so they DID make sense. How about “Watching” when you ARE Watching and “Not Watching” when you are NOT Watching. What would they be then? UHMMMM… How about “Words” and Directions, that make sense.

Verbs, Nouns, Adjectives, Pro Nouns, Oxymoron’s who cares!! Clear & Understandable MAKES SENSE!

Speaking of Making Sense …Did you decide what to do with the 2” of GLUE Yet? Now that’s a Real Quandary!

With All Due Respect Of Course. According to the New Rules.

I was trying to be funny and insightful not snotty. I too found it confusing and it was when I realized that the words on the button referred to an action not a state that it made sense.

I deserve no respect so don’t ever worry about that!

As for the glue… The cap of my magic glue bottle is glued on and I haven’t figured out how to get it off without destroying it yet… But I will probably just add the new glue. I figure the amount of mixing will be pretty small and nothing I am building yet is of sufficient quality to really sweat it. Then again- I might use everything that is left before I get the darn top off!

Sorry drpdrp I misinterpreted your intent. No Foul for Me Or You. Simply a Misunderstanding.

I was being a little Sarcastic about the “With All Due Respect” thing as it seems to have turned into one of the most important “Things” on here lately. Howard got the Point and He’s also Correct! BUT! YOU do deserve respect. So does everyone else on here. It just seems that It’s now being Overdone. (Hope nobody IS Watching) ..LOL…

The Glue thing was a bit of a Joke. I’d Pitch it and use the New one. Speaking of Glue … I have an Oriental Vase that I gave to my Mother Many Years ago. It’s about 3/4 Tall. I knocked it over one day and broke the Lid and the top part.

I HAD To Fix It! Too Precious Not To! So for the First time I bought and used some PL Premium. I put some Cloth on the Inside and spread the PL all over it. (About 6/7 Pieces I had to get back together.) I started with some Tools to spread it. Didn’t work well at all so I just stuck my HAND in there and spread it around. Worked GREAT!

Then I tried to get the PL off My Hands. NOTHING would do it! Read the side of the Tube. “CAUTION: Do NOT get on Skin. Can Only Be Removed By MECHANICAL MEANS!” SAY WHAT??? Nightly Soaking, Brushes, Strong Soap, SOS Pads, everything and anything I could try. It Took me TWO WEEKS to get that stuff Off My Skin.

That’s what happens when you DON’T read the directions first! Great Glue Though! ...LOL…

Later My Man.

No worries Rick.

Howard you put this in my head:

Seriously, though on the glue it is in a Glu-bot any suggestions on getting it open?
