For sale is this Stanley Bailey No.6 corrugated bottom fore plane.
This plane appears to be a type 12(1919-1924), in excellent good condition.

The cutting iron has the ‘V’ trademark and lots of length left. It is sharp and ready to work after a final honing.
The knob and tote are in good shape with no cracks or repairs that I could find, just a couple of typical dents and dings.
The sole and sides of the base have a little staining. The base casting has been nicely re-painted.

Check the pictures and ask any questions you may have.

Asking $70 + shipping. This will fit in a medium flat rate box for $12.35.
Pick up at my shop in Willow Spring, NC is available. Interesting trades will be considered.

I guess the No.6 is not too popular?

Let’s drop to $60 and see what happens.

If I didn’t already have a Union #6, a Stanley 7, and a number 8 on the way, then I’d hop right on it.

That’s a decent plane. You would easily get over $60 on eBay.

Yeah, I do list on eBay, but then I have to increase the price to cover the fees. 10% to eBay and another 2.9%(+.30) to PayPal.

Some items I just go right to eBay because there doesn’t seem to be much interest on CraigsList or the woodworking forums. Higher priced planes, like Stanley No.2, etc., don’t seem to sell well anywhere but eBay.

10% to eBay!? I didn’t realize it was so high.

They do a pretty good job of not telling you how much the fees are. ;-)
