Well I found out a few days ago I’m gonna be a grand father :o) This will be my 1st and I’m pretty excited about it :o)

So, I’m thinking about building a cradle for the new arrival. Don’t know yet if “we” are having a boy or girl. But as far as a cradle is concerned I don’t think it makes much difference.

Any suggestions on the length/width/height would be appreciated. I’m guessing maybe 32” long x 16 in” wide??

What say you?? :o)

I would start with the mattress. Take the measurements from that and go on.

first thing that came to y mind was 32×16…I think 15 degree pitch on the sides is about right

Changing table mattresses are 16×32. I just got one for the one I made 35 years ago (got a new grand-baby on the way also) 15% pitch is indeed pretty good.

Wow, 16/32 was just a guess on my part. Got out the ol’ tape measure and opened it up and said to self… yep, 16/32 looks about right LOL. So, 16/32 is changing table size, then do you guys think that should be ok or about right for a cradle as well?

Congrats on the new comer George M and congrats to you too Alistair!!
