Bought this of CL yesterday for $95. Just needs a bit of cleaning, but runs really good. Has a lot of attachments and clamps so I had to a make the hour drive to get it. Just don’t know if got a good deal or not. What do you guys think?

Looks like an HF to me.

The date on the motor says 1987. How long has HF been around lol?

Doesn’t look like a HF DC, but they all look pretty much the same. My guess is it was made under the name “Master Machinery”. The base that supports the motor is quite a bit different from my HF DC.

HF’s brand is Central Machinery. It looks the same though, probably from same factory.

It looks exactly like mine, and it is only a yer old. Of course, I MacGyver’d it. :-)
Since these pics were taken, I have replaced the sock with a filter cartridge from Wynn Environmental.

Looks like may have up-graded bags on it. For years came with 30 micron bags not very good for your health.

so it’s not a HF,
can you take the bags off and show us the drum, make sure the cone is on the top not the bottom like my Jet.
Also how many HP is the motor?

Looks like you got a very good deal.

I knew someone would comment on my bandsaw haha. I wanted something to my own taste. I didn’t want my saw looking like every other saw that a viewed online. The saw gods may be unhappy with it but im happy with how it turned out. Heres a before an after…

As for the DC I will be tearing it apart this weekend. I’ll be getting a Wynnenv filter for it later after i’ve cleaned it up really nice. Its a 2HP motor. Here is a photo with the upper bag off.

Wow I have three similar to this as my woodshop is quite big and I don’t have central dust collection built in , as I am constantly chopping and changing moving things around LOL. However I paid a lot more than that for mine all bought new as there is no facility for used dust collectors near me.Wow I should say you are a lucky man getting a heck of a deal like that.So live long and enjoy. I love your paint job on the bandsaw too I paint a lot of my stuff which I usually buy pre-used and industrial, but the big bandsaw I have, is anew one, I bought near london England. Alistair have a lot of well deserved fun my friend

Bandsaw was another CL find. It did feel really good finishing that project. Im on the hunt for a fence for it now.
