I just picked up the planer a couple days ago and had the chance to plane a few boards. Very nice upgrade from my Delta lunchbox style. I try and upgrade a tool or two every year but it seems like as I upgrade, it only makes my other tools seem so much crappier. Having just upgraded to the Sawstop CS3hp. I was going to wait until next year but then I saw this planer on CL, still in the wrapper. A guy bought it and never used it. Or he stole it, but its pretty big to fit under your coat.
Anyway, great planer with what little I’ve done with it. All that’s left now is the jointer. Still using the little Delta benchtop model. OK for small stuff, but with that 30” span anything more than a few feet long is troublesome.

One of these days I’m going to have to learn to make something besides sawdust and wood chips.
