Is pine the secondary wood used in stickley drawers?

My guess would be probably not pine. Maybe Poplar or other “hardwood” ?

We have a 3 door buffet (about 25 years old) and the secondary wood looks like cherry. You might contact LJ Bob Lang for a definitive answer regarding the original Stickley constructions.
