Being a new guy to woodworking and everything, been building my tool inventory and been getting ready start working on stuff a lot more with warmer weather since my garage is my shop. My fiancĂ© worked at a hospital that is in a budget crisis and after being told by one of her departments main doctor she’d be safe, her actual boss didn’t tell any of the doctors and she was let go today(the main doctor is irate about it). She was a tech doing brainwave tests and one of the few that actually knew what they were doing out of the handful in her department but since she had been there the least amount of time, they let her along with a lot of other people in other departments go. We live in her house, so we have a mortgage and a lot of other bills all of which my salary can’t cover, not sure what we’re gonna do. She gets a month severance pay which is helpful but if she can’t find a job in that time, savings could disappear along with my tools and truck and who knows what else. Always hear about people losing their jobs on the news, never thought it’d be one of us, especially with our wedding coming in October, already have a few thousand tied up in that. Life can be a pain in the butt sometimes but hopefully everything will work out, prayers appreciated.

Sorry to hear about the rough times. You’ll find a way to pull through this. If you have some equity in your house already, you might be able to refinance the house and pay off the other bills in the process. Worst-case scenario, you sell the house and most of your other stuff, build a floating tropical island out of plastic bottles, exchange all your power tools for hand tools, and build your projects from fallen trees you find along the coastline.
