I have no idea what’s causing this but My ”Activity List” is showing “Forum Topics” that I have “Replied On”.

Only Problem is … I HAVEN’T Replied on them. Checked a few of them out and there is NO REPLY From Me??

Yes. I always hit “Save” or if I “Edit” I always hit “Save Changes”. Today is the First & Only Day it’s happened so far.

Most of them are of No Interest to me and I wouldn’t have Bothered Commenting in the First Place.

Oh well. Just Another “Glitch” I guess. I’ll wait and see if it Continues.

Rick

EDIT: It took at least 3/4 Minutes for that little green thing to stop whirling and Post this.

I’ve often wondered – What’s the difference between “Replied on” and “Commented on”
???

“Replied on” seems to be forums and “Commented on” seem to be projects.

I noticed this about your posts too Rick. I’ve seen a number of “posts” that are nothing but an asterisk.

joein10asee – I think a reply is for forum posts and comments are for project posts. Not positive on this though.
Edit: Topamax beat me to it!

Joe:

I wondered that also for quite a while so I hit a bunch of them in Both Categories.

It would appear that ”Replied On” relates to any Forum Topics. “Commented On” relates to “Projects” Only.

I.E. In Projects at the Top, it shows Number of ”Comments”, I believe that is also taken into account to choose the ”Daily Top Three” Projects.

Rick

EDIT: HA! You 2 Guy beat me to it! As for the “Asterisks” Tom. I have No Idea what’s going on with that. I spend a fair amount of time Reviewing Projects and leaving GOOD Comments’.

I received 2 PM’s about it. They were not all that Pleasant. I went back and checked a few of them. Sure Enough1 Comment GONE! Asterisks in it’s Place.

Hacked? I don’t know, but I DON”T LIKE IT!!

Probably flagged by users then removed by admin… Not sure though.

Rick, I notice the “asterisks” after you had a go around with another LJ about someone’s project being already posted. Your last comment in that project posting was an asterisk. After that they started showing up all over. I thought maybe you were self-deleting your posts or being censored by LJs, but it stopped all of a sudden.

Again Guys. I have No IDEA what went on or why.

I can’t see Admin Removing a Post that was Complimentary to the Project & Poster.

UNLESS … Its an automatic thing. Flag it and down it goes. I’d prefer not to believe that though.

Tom: No I wasn’t self Deleting. As far as the Re-Posting goes, it seems that most don’t mind it at all. There is no “Rule” against it and as some have pointed out, they didn’t see it first time around and are Happy that it was Re-Posted.

I can’t totally disagree with them, but I’m sure you can see the problems it might start. What is a suitable time to wait before Re-Posting? How many Times? It takes what? 5/6 Pages just to get through One Days New Postings?

Anyways. I put that “Soapbox” back in the Closet. .....LOL…

OKAY! I guess we can disregard this Post.

For whatever reason, or How, or Why.

The Forum Topics that I Didn’t reply to have Magically Disappeared now, from my “Activity List”???

Rick, Isn’t the magic and mystery of cyberspace and exciting source of bewilderment?

Probably a NSA woodworker that was hacked at some comment you made and he, or maybe she, had some fun. Or it could be the rumored new Owners (Victoria’s Secret) had an issue who knows???
