Here I am waiting for some veneer to dry on a box and the varnish to dry on another box and glue to set on a jig I made, I have nothing better to do than show a few more of my projects I enjoyed making.

I don’t know what order they will show up so One is a Fishing Reel Toilet Paper dispenser. Wife and I were real serious fishermen and so I designed and made a TP holder shaped like a fishing reel. Another is my Aromatic Red Cedar night stand. Nothing special about this except the color of the wood and the antler drawer pull. Last is the job I did tiling one of our showers. Most of the tiles were hand cut from standard sized ones. This took me 17 days to complete and there are 1,152 individual tiles making the sunburst pattern my wife wanted. Oh, the things they get us to do.

Enjoy.

Yes the things they get us to do! But the other side is slower!

Neat night stand and roll holder.

I love aromatic cedar! Great looking and very easy to use.

Neat Projects.

The Cedar is so easy on the tools. Cuts easier than Yellow Pine. But it won’t take a nail or screw without splitting…Gotta predrill every hole. I love the smell when I’m working it. We have so much of it at our local saw mill that the price is around $2 a bf. We also have lots of Western Red Cedar but it is really a variety of Juniper and the red color tends to be more brown. One of my favorite we have plenty of is Mesquite. That stuff will eat up a band saw blade in no time but it is so pretty. A lot of what we get looks almost like burl lumber.
