I’m new to the site and a beginner/novice woodworker. I’m looking for plans/ideas to build a baseball jersey display case. Not only looking for plans, but also thoughts on pros/cons of different things, such as type of wood, felt liner, glass vs plexi, etc. Any input would be greatly appreciated!!!

Recommend (from an ex-framer) you take it to a couple of reputable frame shops, and see what they can do. Professional framing is expensive ! Then – return home with some ideas in your mind, and build your own. There are numerous ways to frame a jersey of any kind – i.e., see only one side/or both sides, glass or plexi (which will scratch), types of wood, on a hangar attached to top of case (for viewing both sides), attached to backing mat for viewing one side, etc. There are so many variables, that the visits to a frame shop will be worth it.
