Looking to buy a drum sander looking at the grizzly 18×36 sander or the jet 16×32 sander . The cost right now is going to be the same I received email from a on line tool store having a 15 pct of sale this weekend for the jet model . I am leaning toward the jet because I can get indeed and out feed tables . But the grizzly will sand up to 4 inches . Any and all help is appreciated thanks Rob

If you plan on making your own thin veneer, then the JET is the clear winner. The Grizz can only sand veneer down to 1/8” while the JET goes as thin as 1/32”

I have the 19-38 Supermax, great machine, love it. I had a used Grizzly and it made me very happy to see it go down the road. That was the only Grizzly tool I have not been happy with.

Does the Grizzly table raise and lower, or is it the head….I was thinking it was the table like Delta….if it is…don’t walk away….RUN.

+1 for the Supermax!!!!

I like my Performax 16/32, but it was easy to out grow it. They are slow. I will be looking at the Supermax 25”or the Grizzly 24” soon, but the Jet and Grizzly price may be more attractive to you.

-- Robert, so much inspiration here, and now time to work!!!
