Hi guys and gals,

I submitted my Lily Pad Surfer Frog Box to UncommonGoods for their woodworking contest, and it was selected as one of the finalists. The prize is $500 plus a sales contract, so your support will be greatly appreciated.

Go here, vote early, and vote often. http://www.uncommongoods.com/voting/product/58032/lily-pad-surfer-frog-box

If you need any ideas for gushing words of praise in the comments, I’ll be happy to help. :)

Thanks!

-John

PS – Please pass this along and we’ll knock it out of the park.

I’m voting for the roller coaster then. I just kid, I like your frogs. Good luck with the contest.

I’m a little embarrassed about an error they made in the text, and I asked them to fix it. :(
Oh well, I doubt that anyone reads that stuff, anyway.

I’m? – was that the horrid text error you’re embarrassed about? OMG!

He he, compared to some of the stuff I read online these days….no big deal. But I know how it bugs you.

Cool design, you got my vote.

Good luck!

ps. ever consider making a turtle box like this? open the shell lid and the head pops out!

hunter71: $499 goes to the electric company to pay down my heating bill, and I’m saving a buck for half a cup of coffee.

reedwood: It was like slaving over a piece of furniture for months only to have the movers bang it up going through a doorway. Thanks for talking me down. I’m over it.

HorizontalMike: Can’t disagree with that. I admire a man who cuts to the chase.

You got my vote. I was not aware of the “Uncommon Goods” website. I picked up the scroll sawing magazine with your frog project this past weekend. This would make a great gift for kids.

Thanks, Julian! Lily Pad Surfer is actually a de-evolution of the frogs in Scroll Saw. I almost hate to say it, but I like Lily better. :)
