Something you have been missing, hydro. Very dense wood similar to ironwood. Acacia species.

Very rare, i’ve been blessed though ;).

That does not appear to be as dark as most I’ve used. Is there a reason?

Gary, if you sand the surface it will be a darker color. These pieces have been shelved for years, they are dry. Green ebony has dark oils. The trunks have been outdoors for years, I’m actually thinking about milling them.

l need te for spoons…....1×2 x 12 is about right size for me, but can cut larger sizes to my desire. scraps or cut offs will work …...........will furnish phone number if we need to rap!!!!!!!
