Again something different to try.

Box body is scrap Maple mitered and splined, top is Cocobolo set to slide in a dado groove and a band around the body of something like Padauk. All pieces of scrap to practice on. The size of the scrap determines the size of the box.

I just won on Ebay, 2 really pretty red pieces of Flame Box Elder, a plank of 1/2” Marblewood and a nice 50” x 6” x 3/4” Zebrawood. The prices were good but the damn shipping costs nearly as much. They will be fun.
