I just got a weird email in my inbox this morning saying that my project got an editors choice award. At first I thought it was a joke, and then I followed the link in the email that showed the project in the editors choice area of the projects.
The reason that this is so weird is that it wasn’t an especially great project. It was just a simple trestle table that my father-in-law and I built for my 3 year old daughter. I see projects day after day that I admire much more than this simple table. Many projects built here are so out of my league that I sometimes sit in wonder and awe at the skill shown in the crafting of such pieces. Mine isn’t in that class at all. I’m just a basement tinkerer.
That makes me think that one of two things are true;
1. I’m being punked by a friend.
Either way it’s weird. Take a look at the project and see if you see the “editor’s choice” thingy in the upper left hand corner. You don’t have to tell me that the project is unworthy; I already know that it isn’t. It’s just a simple table. I’m just trying to figure out how the heck it got there or if I’m being punked.
Let me know if you see it or not, or if you’ve gotten the exact same email.
