I’ve seen complaining about this website/forum. From what i’ve seen out there Lumberjocks has got the rest beat hands down. Maybe you complainers are just a little wound to tight. I enjoy learnng from others. Wisdom, is gained thru the passing of time and experiences. Of those experiences, mistakes sometimes are the greatest learning moments. I’ve often found the value in trying a new technique a couple of times before making the final endeavor of great value.

Bottom line if you can do better…get out there and do it on your own!!!

The problem is Bob that I have married 3 women from Oregon and I have a little pent up anger I am going to take out on anyone I can.

+1 wseand ROFLMAO

Bob, I understand your point but imagine this. Your car is working fine, drives good etc etc. You take it in for a “FREE” routine maint oil change and when you leave the following happens:
1. You hit unlock and instead it locks the keys in your car while running.
2. While driving down the road the check engine light comes on, but runs okay
3. When you turn your lights on the trunk opens while you are driving.

You return to the shop and explain what is wrong, they say nothing and tinker with it a minute and send you on your way before they close for the weekend. It still does it. You go back on Monday and repeat all week for two weeks, they never say anything except they are working on it.They finally get it fixed but tell you nothing and do not apologize or even explain the problem just now it works.

That is as best as relate what went on for a time here. I did however enjoy the comments and had many good laughs. Someone mentioned that Victoria Secrets is buying Escalate Media. (Laughing) I bet Cricket sees this one.

Gunny,
Do you own a Ford. My door lock doesn’t work, Engine Light has been on ever since my second Marriage, Window leaks, and auto lights that are supposed to come on at night are on all day.

And besides, this site’s content is generated by its users. The owners contribute nothing but infrastructure. If the users don’t like that infrastructure they have every right to complain. They are the ones that make this site better than any other not the owners.

Married three times? How long does it take you to learn? ;) Once is enough.

+1 for JA…This is a nicely structured site, maybe the best, but without the tens of thousands of members, it is just another lonely website on a huge Internet. When those members are shown a structure for years that showcases the efforts of the members, expectations are set. When those got pulled, members were rightly upset, since they take the time to put forth their efforts. Some of the best woodworkers in the world traverse this site. To have them ignored in projects and make it hard to find their wisdom is what was wrong.

Except for the “Off topic ” ramblings, that I skip, I like this forum, no matter the layout style.

The problem with the car analogy is that the car is your property. Unless you own the site posters are just guests and squatters here. Like anything on the web, take what you need from it but real life happens off the computer.

Bite your tongue Chuck, no man is that dumb.
I moved my present wife to New Mexico,
I thought the southwest would thaw her out, no such luck.

DHazelton – We are not squatters. This site is built entirely upon our contributions. Our property makes this site what it is not the infrastructure provided by the owners. Take away all of the user generated content and what are you left with? Nothing worth visiting.

I think BurlyBob is just Complaining about the fact that there are to many Complainer’s on here.

That this is the Best Site there is about Woodworking. Nothing Specific.

”I’ve seen complaining about this website/forum. From what i’ve seen out there Lumberjocks has got the rest beat hands down. Maybe you complainers are just a little wound to tight.”

That’s about it.
