Hello Everyone this is my first post. I have 12 very large California Claro Black Walnut ?Harvest ?trees, I am told that I have 40,000 to 80,000 board feet, Some of my Burls are 72 inch x12 to 16 feet. Some of the rare trees are massive over 100 feet tall.

I am looking for buyers a or a few buyers, There are portable saw mills and I have some coming to cut a few trees up in a week or two.

Is anyone interested in my Harvest , I’d like to find a big buyer to take it all but I will work with small buyers also

Please write for photos

Kroma,
I may know of a couple guys who would be interested. They are inland and a bit southeast of LA. They are not on this site, though. Could you post your email address or send it to me in a private message. I’ll get the info to them.

Claro generally grows 30–60 feet, not 100. That coupled with the poor grammar makes me think SPAM. Can you prove otherwise?

Lots of mis-information in this post. 40k to 80k??? bd ft in 12 stumps/log. I think not. Maybe 4k in both black and white. Of course, the white wood is totally undesirable. It is not even good for firewood!

A Claro Walnut stump is not automatically ‘BURL’ A log or trunk is not a burl. . A burl is a burl.

Claro walnut is the preferred [or was] for the host of soft shelled walnuts grown by famers’.

Claro seldom is allowed to grow more than 5 or 6 ft T before soft shell varieties are grafted. Claro root stock is used as a host to varieties of desirable marketable ‘Soft Shell’ nuts that cannot survive in the hostile western US soils.

Today, Claro is no longer the preferred host root stock. It has been phased out.

Additionally, we seldom see Claro trunks over about 3’D x 7’ or 8’ T.

Hi everyone who reads this post. For the past few weeks I have been contacted by all kinds of folks wanting to buy my products via, various social and online media. Be very, very careful. These people are using other people’s computers and will ask you or direct you to other sites and e-mail addresses to get your Pay-Pal accounts, your bank accounts and so on. Once they are in, you are out; that is, out of your account. Some of them use logos of banks such as wells Fargo, City Group and so on. You can tell whether they are fake by clicking on the logo. If it does not direct you to the bank site, you know they are fake. Also, if you have a Pay-pal account, never give these jerks the e-mail you use to sign up to your Pay-Pal. These activities have been on rise exponentially in the past few months. Be on your guard and be very, very careful. Be sure to report all these activities to the proper authorities. Do not trust freight companies with yahoo, hotmail and so on e-mail addresses. These are just ways these people are using to clean you out…. BE CAREFUL WHOM YOU ARE DEALING WITH. VERIFY OR GET RIPPED OFF>.

Wow, pretty cool that walnut is scam worthy!

I have a whole walnut tree in my shop, I”m sure it must be worth thousands! LOL My husband’s comment; Gee if walnut is worth so much you are better of selling it that making stuff out of it. He is so not a woodworker!

Never occurred to me it might be a scam—never heard of a tree scam.
