Topic tags/keywords: table saw tools question

I have the ridged r4512 table saw and I’m looking for a better fence. I just recently bout a new incra miter gauge and it makes a big difference. So now I’m looking to up grade the fence and I’m looking for someone that has the same saw that has upgraded their fence to get some suggestion. Any help would be welcomed. thanks jeff

I don’t have that particular saw, but I upgraded my Craftsman saw with a Delta T2. Made a HUGE difference. Last I checked, it was $~180. Vega also makes a great fence. Its ~$270.

The Incra fence is very nice but a little pricey, I am very happy with mine. The good thing about it is if you upgrade the saw, later on, you can take it with you, as it will fit on about any saw.

I bought a Vega Pro 40 for my vintage Craftsman and I love it…

It also has a micro-adjust on it, which many people like although I haven’t actually used it yet, but seems like a very worthwhile feature to have.

After doing quite a bit if research I just ordered a Woodstock Shop Fox Classic fence for my Unisaw I am restoring. I couldn’t find anything that looked like a better bang for my buck. I used to have a previous model Ridgid table saw that I found a great deal for a unifence on Craigslist but it was only price point that attracted me to it, I didn’t buy it convinced that it would be the best ever but it was still a huge improvement over the stock fence

You may still be able to get one of the Shop Fox W1410 fences. I put one on my Craftsman which is a sister to your Ridgid saw. Here's my review.
