Hey guys,

I’m looking for a source for high grade quarter-sawn sitka spruce or cypress. I need pretty decent thickness (4/4 after surfacing) and it would be great if there was a place willing to book-match and surface to that dimension since I don’t have a bandsaw.

Other things I need are ebony and highly flamed fiddleback maple, preferably red leaf (some of the maple also needs to be book-matched or exceptionally wide). I’m trying to get this from Bell Forest Products, but any other sources would be welcome.

I can’t seem to find any place near me (Tuscaloosa, AL) that carries this stuff. I’ve sent an email to BFP already but haven’t heard back yet. Their website also doesn’t list quarter-sawn spruce/cypress. Luthier supplies all seem to be too thin for my needs. Any help would be greatly appreciated!
