I would keep the 605.5, because it will be easier to get another LN later of I change my mind, and I just like bevel up better…

the only exception being…if I only had one plane, and had multiple blades for it…i would rather have just the low angle jack…but of I already have a smoother and a joonter, I’d keep the bedrock.

My bedrock is easily my favorite plane and the one I reach for the most. I don’t have any experience with LN, but I’d probably stick with the bedrock.

12string has it right—for two reasons:
• you can always buy another BUJ
• your Bedrock – beyond being in a tough-to-find size – has been TableSawTom’d

If these planes are for using (rather than just collecting) I’d suggest keeping the one that you enjoy using the most, get the best results with, etc. If that is really a tie, then I’d keep the Bedrock. I have a couple Bedrocks and a couple L-N planes (two more on the way this week), and personally, nostalgia aside I prefer using the L-N planes. Don’t get me wrong, they are ALL good.
