Topic tags/keywords: router

My regular plunge router has just burned up in the middle of a project. I found an old one hidden amongst some other tools but can’t remember how it adjusts. It is an old Craftsman model 315-174740, 1 1/2 hp. I can’t find the owners manual and am not having much luck raising and lowering the depth of cut. Does anyone know where I can download a copy of the owners manual? I have spent most of 2 hours try to find something on this tool with little or no luck. I probably have had this router 20 years and it works but it won’t raise and lower or I just don’t know how. Please help me if you can. Thanks

Try this site as it looks that they have a PDF available for that model or one very close to it!

Here are some pictures as best as I can do (hands are a little shaky tonight).

I went to that sight and found another sears router but a lot different from mine. Maybe I’m not finding the right one.
