For sale is this Stanley Bailey No.5 jack plane.
It appears to be a type 16 in very good condition.

The cutting iron is close to full length and has been sharpened. A final honing would make it razor sharp.
There is some staining on the sole and sides and some very shallow pitting. The sole and sides are smooth.
There is a small area on the knob that is ‘out of round’. Don’t really know how to describe this.
There has been some loss of the japanning, mostly at the toe and heel and the sides adjacent to the mouth.
The japanning on the frog is also flaked off in the normal areas.
There is a small piece missing from the top of the tote.

The plane is as rust free as I could get it and works great. It will make a great user.

Asking $40 & shipping. This will fit in a medium flat rate box for $12.35.
Local pickup at my shop in Willow Spring, NC is available.
Interesting trades will be considered. I do like trades.
