They’ve hit us here a couple of times, too.

I did learn some basic sniper skills in Vietnam. Anything I can do to help, please let me know.

Steve, if there was a way to “like” your response I’d do it a thousand times!

Seriously, I hopped over to GardenTenders the other day to look for some garden/landscape ideas and I couldn’t believe the amount of spam! It is absolutely awful. I know there isn’t near the user base as here on LJ’s but I hate to see those site suffer that way.

I quit visiting that site. It is out of hand.

On Garden Tenders, the problem is not ads. There are projects like “Enjoy Your Sexual Life” and Forum topics like “Wight Loss supplyment”. It used to be much worse. Now Ms Debbie has the power to delete the crap. Before, everything on the main page would be junk.

Yea I started a similar forum about a month ago. No one posts anything good over there. I barely visit it at all.

It’s really a shame. My wife was very active on Garden Tenders a while back. It seemed to be lively and growing (as all gardens should be). But now it lies fallow.

They can’t even manage to keep this site running halfway decent, I doubt they can handle spammers too. It’s a lost cause.

Unfortunately it’s been like that for some time now. I stopped visiting those two over a year ago because of the spammers.

I’d disagree that this site isn’t running halfway decent. I think its a great site and it bugs me when people bash it just because it isn’t running at some imagined ideal level. The spammers aren’t LJ’s fault why rag on MsDebbieP and company? Sorry it has been a rough day here and the undeserved slam at LJs got me riled.
