Now, if you want to view larger pictures of a member’s shop, you just have to click on the thumbnail image and the full-sized image shows up in a new window. This is somewhat functional but not very convenient to navigate because there are no navigation features available with the full-sized image other than what is in your browser. So, if you want to view a full-sized image of another picture of the same shop, you must navigate back, wait for the page to load, and then select the thumbnail that you want enlarged. This is not a show-stopper, but it is rather annoying.

I propose that a better alternative would be to code the images of the Shops section to behave like the images in the Projects section; that is, a user can select a “view images” button below the thumbnails and have them appear in a pop-up that will let them navigate through the entire set of posted picture. You already have the code, so it’s just a matter of including it in the appropriate file. Using the same code will make maintaining the site easier to maintain in the long run, and, as an added bonus, it could marginally reduce your server load and bandwidth requirements because you wouldn’t be repeatedly re-serving the same Shops pages.

I just hit the next button and the next pic pops right up…

Depending on the resolution your monitor is set on you may have to scroll up a little bit to see the next/previous button…. Another alternative if it annoys you that much is to install a plug-in in your browser. I use “searchpreview” and “hoverzoom” in Chrome and just by hovering my mouse over almost any picture it will pop up an enlarged version of it without even clicking on anything.

It is cool – - I still wish that the profiles just at least included the State/Province that jocks are in.

It woudl be great to be able to find the “Kentucky” jocks, or the Alaska ones.
Don’t need addresses, but it would be nice to be able to search out “relatively Local” members

Kevin & 7Footer:

When I posted this, there were no previous, next and close buttons available; the large images just showed up as just images, not as a web page with an image. That was my point. Magically, they appeared with the navigation buttons about 12 hours ago, which was about 10 hours before this post was approved.
