As discussed in a couple of other topics today, it looks like LJ’s has made a few changes to the way they advertise. Unfortunately the ads I’m getting are not really appropriate. Unusual because I’ve never had anything like this show up on LJ’s before. Here’s a screen shot:

Kind of embarrassing to open this up at work. Hope it’s not going to be a permanent change on LJ’s.

About all I see is Home Depot ads. Way too many of them.

Don’t you guys know what ad and pop up blockers are? I use them and don’t see a single ad on this site. Although I must admit at age 70 I can still admire a nice pair.

Someone has hacked an advertiser, or some such. LJ’s does not condone this sort of thing, and as noted….......send a note to MsDebbieP.

Three or more years ago we had some similar stuff by a disgruntled member, who was quickly booted.

Oh, I don’t think there’s any hacking going on. It seems that Lumberjocks does condone such ads, since they are being allowed in the forums. New times have come upon us.

I abhor these new adds as my grandchildren look over my shoulder to see the projects and some of them are not suitable for this age group.

Though I probably shouldn’t condone this as it can take away from lumberjock’s profits, consider installing adblock plus if you’re using either firefox or chrome:

I can understand the frustration. After all, this is a WW site for Gods sake. But it’s just boobies tightly packed in a double barrel sling shot. Not really a big deal but hopefully management will get that stuff off of here.

WARNING… do not turn on your TV. You may see the same kind of advertizing…. and probably worse….

I will say this again, again, and again. LJ’s does not condone these ads, and they will stop. This has happened before. Please be patient. We lost some valuable members over this years ago, and this is the first time it has happened since to my knowledge.

If Target can be forgiven for allow millions to lose valuable data to hackers, LJ’s should get a break. It is a continuing war with these criminals…..........

I find it interesting that Manitario uses the abbreviated form of “what the Fu**” and body cares, yet your upset with a girl in a bra. You don’t think kids know what :WTF: means. Kids are the masters of text messaging and know exactly what WTF means.
