Found this in a 1984 FWW article. From the article he is quite the woodworker.
Jimmy Carter.

I was wondering who Jimmy Carter is…the print on the article is too small for me to read.

Yep – Former President Jimmy Carter is a Woodworker and huge Maloof fan, and has a bunch of Sam’s work.

I just googled him…he was apparently the 39th president of the USA…now I get why you posted this. I learned a little of another country’s history today.

I wonder what his shop is like?

I think he meant that he was a fellow woodworker not an LJ specifically.

As one 49er to another. . . . amen.

I would never have thought I would live to see any one worse, but I guess that’s what I get for thinking.

Not getting into politics. But it’s cool that a president was a woodworker and a good one at that.

I think that it would be wonderful to have a President to be lurking these pages, and spanking our hands when we go wrong.

He’s the wrong President for that.
