I have a huge wooden support beam which measures a little over 25 ft. in length that I recently removed from the interior of my residence. I have posted pictures for you to review. The beam was painted and a hole was drilled through a small portion of the beam to run electrical. Based on the date my home was built, I believe the beam is at least 30 years old.The beam is currently inside my residence. My question..Is it worth trying to sell? If you or someone you know are interested I’m located in Modesto, Ca.

Why not make something with it? Old fir sure cleans up nice. It is probably old growth, so nice and straight tight grain with no knots. If I didn’t live in Canada and already have huge piles of fir and about 30 more trees waiting to be cut down I would scoop it up for sure.

I had one that was 8” x 13” x 31’ long, couldn’t give it away. Hope you have better luck than I did. Biggest problem was how someone could transport it.

If you can’t sell it, it would make a hell of a workbench. Maybe there some Jocks in your area that need work bench material, that way it could be cut to rough lengths for transport.

+1 for craigslist. It won’t cost anything to list it.

It looks like 2 roubo workbenches to me!

Too bad you don’t give any information on your profile or here. Someone in your area might have made you an offer.

Thank you very much for your ideas! I created an ad and posted it on Craigslist. If that doesn’t work I’m brainstorming with it’s use in my backward!
