I use a similar product ( http://lumberjocks.com/reviews/2987 ) on my shop vacuum … you should be fine.

Someone on another site said ,Keep a eye on that switch ,your vac pulls 1325 watts and may not hold up.

I wonder if I should return this switch and get a heavier one?

Dunno … the product I use has been in service for almost 3 years. I use them to control my shop vacuum (Ridgid 6hp), my Jet DC650A duct collector, and my tuner.

Hey vinnie, I have a big rigid vacuum and a 1 HP dust collector and haven’t had a problem yet. I think you will be fine

Kaleb, What’s the worse that could happen….switch will burn out?

13 amps is the most capacity I’ve seen on those. I keep looking for a 15 amp and haven’t found one. I think you will be fine, and the worst case would be that the switch burns out.
