This one really caught my eye for a number of reasons.

The band saw is my #1 favorite woodworking tool!

In spite of all we read/hear about keeping our tools clean, it’s amazing how a good buildup of grease, grime, and sawdust can help to preserve equipment. I’m into that line of thinking. :)

Frank Howarth made an excellent video about his vintage 36” band saw.

Frank’s in Oregon, and he traced the original ownership of the 1947 saw back to the McNally Lumber Company in Columbus, Ohio. One of my best friends was the manager of the company, and I suddenly remembered that he let me use the saw (for about five scary minutes) in the early 80’s. It is a small world!

It’s amazing how far the technology has come. I saw that video before John. Really interesting band saw.
