My grandchildren were running through the house this morning and one of them said you’ve been hit with a ”Bazooka Nuclear Explosion.”

What have you heard not heard.

If I were to give only one single advice to new parents,it would be to never physically hurt your children,I was never hit by my father,I did spank my son when he was under age of of six but I even regret doing that.

I know some of us will disagree but ask yourself one question, when you hit a child is it really to teach them a lesson or is it to satisfy your own anger.

“Hitting” a child to me is spanking. It is to discipline the child. I am sick of people attempting to show moral superiority.

Moral superiority my ass when I was a young child my father used to beat me mercilously sometimes he would thump me so hard on the side of my face my ear used to ring for hours after and I was a little deafened during this time my face used to swell up badly .Spanking was never done to my children I don’t believe in it you wouldn’t hit an adult for making a mistake would you I could write a book about my fathers cruelty ,sober cruelty for he did not drink at all.But he didn’t believe in a little slap he would beat me off the walls.I got my own back when I was older and hit him back one day he never lifted a hand to me again.I hated him for it too I will never forget it remains with me to this day and will to the end of my days too.Alistair

Alistair, I am sure your father was treated the same way. How we treat children is typically passed down until someone breaks the chain of cruelty.
