What bothers you the most? What irks you? Gets your goat? Spoils you milk? Sours your taste? Eats your cheese? Farts under your covers? Pulls on your nose hair? Itches your britches?

Interesting question.

I’d say it’s people who live their lives based on feelings but try to costume those feelings as logic, trying to convince me they have rationally come to the conclusions they have.

Mark, it’s politicians. You’re talking about politicians, right? Sounds like politicians.

Cutting a piece of wood and finding it’s a little too short. Then cut it again and STILL find it’s too short!

That’s not a mustache, it’s a combover of my nose hairs.
No, i think one of the things that irritates me the most is when people try to turn a hobby or business into some far-east philosopical state of being.
What’s your favorite, what’s the best way, what’s the worst way? “I use a handplane/handsaw/lathe/router/lawnmower because it makes me feel as if I am one with the wood. Sometimes at night I just go out and plane a board down to nothing and listen to the angels sing around me.”
And I’m truly surprised (although quite happy) that the Sawstop people haven’t started a new thread called
“What is the sound of one hand sawing?”

Joe, that would be a very good add that I would like to see on TV. Kind of like a Euro Benz / Cadillac / Audi commercial. A grey room. Close up pans past the elegant lines of the saw. A few quick specification comments. And then the question, “What’s the sound of one hand sawing?” And then nothing, silence, the camera pulls back to show the entire saw, and the commercial fades to black.

Having said that, I think sawstop is a cool gadget that has its place, so please, anyone who owns, has used, loves, or otherwise wants to have children with the sawstop, I mean no ill will or grievance.
