Yesterday I did some base moldings with a pretty large bit and eight foot sections of pine on the router table. I realized afterwards that maybe a horizontal table or power feed unit would have helped. I’ll be able to make what I have work, but I realize that I need to either invest in a power feed unit or make a horizontal table for my router when I create the crown molding.

Does anybody have any experience with power feed units? Would folks recommend one over the other? (other than price).

Thanks!
