I started another topic from my post a week ago because I wasn’t sure anyone was still watching the other post for an update.
See picture. So I disassembled the fan, inspecting along the way, all the way to the motor and the screeching is coming from inside the motor. I can rotate the shaft to recreate the noise. The shaft isn’t loose in anyway. I even ventured as to remove the three bolts that seem to be holding the front cover plate of the motor but once I removed those the cover plate didn’t easily come off and I didn’t want to force it. Getting inside the motor is way beyond my knowledge skills. I can’t really tell if it is coming from the backend of the shaft or the front. The back end fan is on tight and not rubbing up against anything.
The unit is no longer under warranty.
Am I just stuck with it making the noise? Thanks in advance.

Year or so back took mine apart down to the motor, cleaned, applied oil and grease and put back together. That stopped the screeching! Did feel a bit of drag on motor bearings when had everything apart but no issues after re-assembly.

Next time will take motor to repair shop to give it a once over and replace bearings. Would have done that if motor shaft had free play when had everything apart.
