Topic tags/keywords: dealer supplier hardwood

Used to go to Colco’s in Memphis but alas, it is no more (for quite a while now). I’m looking for a place within reasonable driving distance (less than a day round trip!) that carries domestic hardwood and good hardwood plywood. Particularly looking for a place that carries kiln dried and 16/4 for turning stock. I’m in the north Mississippi area so Jackson, Memphis or even the southern part of the state is ok. Much further than that and it’s probably too far. Any help is appreciated!

I’m in Tupelo and haven’t been to this dealer, but there is one in the Ripley/Walnut area that supposedly has some pretty good stuff.
PM me, and I’ll try to get the info to ya.
Come on by the shop when you can. Always welcome another LJer.

Pickens Hardwoods is between Jackson and Clinton. Also, look at the Mississippi Market Bulletin either online or the printed version. There are often ads for walnut or cherry. I’m south of Jackson so I’m not that familiar with what is in north MS, but I would think that Tupelo or Columbus would have some hardwood lumberyards.
