For Christmas my dad generously surprised me with a new Sawstop PCS with the 36 inch rails. My current saw is the porter cable pc270. The porter cable table height is several inches taller than the sawstops 34 inch table height. My current outfeed table can’t be lowered enough to sit flush with the sawstop table. I was thinking of building a stout platform to sit the sawstop on to raise it up several inches, but was not sure if anyone had any better recommendations? Would sitting the sawstop on a platform compromise the stability of the saw? Any ideas would be appreciated.

Thanks. Josh

Rather than raising your saw up, I’d find a way to either cut the out feed table down or make a new one.

I would never want to put a ~400lb saw up on anything if I could avoid it. Seems like a ton of work for not much payoff.

Have your say...
