Darn, Angie, you sure got beat up on that fall!! The year 2013 is really going out pretty rotten this year.

We are stuck in Joplin ,Mo for a week. Blew a head gasket on the car and no one can work on it during the holiday. Maybe we’ll get out of here Friday!!

I wish you a quick recovery for you injury!!................Jim

That’s a shame Angie, sorry that happened. Just try and feel better, use this time to search the internet for future projects, techniques,or anything else to pass the time while you heal. Before you know it you’ll be back in your shop making sawdust.

Holy smokes Angie! That’s not a good way to end the year! I Hope your not hurting to bad and I hope you heal fast.

My fall happened when we lived up north. It was a little different than your fall but ice was involved. I Got up early one morning still in my bath robe pulled back the curtain on the slider and caught a squeal eating up all the bird food out of the feeder on the deck. I opened the slider door and he ran away. But not for long, he came right back to the feeder even though I was standing right there at the door. That little bugger I thought to myself… I pulled opened the slider and made a quick dashed out to scare him away and that’s when my feet went up and I went ass over tea kettle on what I though was snow NOT … I went bang bang bang on my butt all the way down the 10 icey deck steps and ended up upside down with my legs through the railing and my ass hanging out and my robe over my head. Glad I happened in the back yard…! My tail bone was sore for a week.

Get well soon and Happy New year! :)

I know the feeling walking out of parents house two days ago with my son in my arms and slipped on the porch steps I thankfully saved my son and he landed on my chest but I got two stair treads to the spine and hit the back of my head off the lip of the porch and smashed my arm off the railing, thankfully all I did was scare the crap out my son he was completely fine but I couldn’t move for about 45 minutes and I’m pretty sure I may have a concussion lol.

Glad you didn’t break anything and I’ll guess we’ll need some better shoes or boots or that ice will keep kicking our ass.

It’s all pretty minor. But enough that I hurt everywhere.
I really have no idea how I could have hit all the places I did.

Jim… That sucks being stuck. Hope you get fixed and home soon. And that it’s at least a good place to be stuck.

Thomrider… That’s exactly what I plan on doing. Maybe some YouTube vids. :)

Woodshaver…. Yikes! :)

Jumbo jack and herbc… Sounds like a might fine prescription.

Nick… Wow. Glad you were able to save your son. Man that had to have hurt. Hope you feel better soon too.

For now… I’m off to sleep. Hoping I feel better in the morning. ;)

Well I hope you get back to speed soon Angie, you have a project to finish. It won’t get done by itself. ha ha.I went to dump a bag of garbage today and like you, slipped on the smallest patch of ice. Caught my balance before I fell but pulled a muscle in the back. Weird stuff. I’m doing the jumbojack medication and feel much better. Throw some sand on that ice.

Those kind of falls hurt not only physically but also your pride!
At least you didn’t hit your head and lose consciousness!

I was about 38, stepped on a patch of ice (under the snow), both my feet went out from under me, and I landed flat on my back! It didn’t help that I have Rheumatoid Arthritis and it took a longer than normal time to recover!

That is one reason I moved out of the midwest since the older you get the more damage these kind of falls create.

I can see snow, it’s 19 miles away and 4500 feet up on Mt. Hamilton … that’s close enough!
