Setting up my new Grizzly 14” Anniversary BS. My first BS. How far off the table should the bottom of the fence be? Should it rest on the table or should there be some space to allow chips/saw dust to escape? Thanks in advance!

I have mine set to about 1/8” above the table on my 0555LX.
Be sure to plumb the fence to 90 degrees to the table.

Thanks guys, appreciate the responses. I set it somewhere between just clear and 1/8th, will give it a shot. Bill, just got to the plumbing the table step. Can tell at a glance it is a good bit off. I’m a BS newbie so I’m fumbling around a bit. Not to hijack my own thread but I’m struggling a little with adjusting the wheel bearings. When they are adjusted and rotating should it slow the momentum of the blade/cast wheels or is that a good indication that they are adjusted to tight?

Thanks again!
