I am planning to get a Sawstop Contractor model. The base model comes with fabricated steel wings which may be perfectly fine. But I have an older craftsman saw with perfectly good and flat cast wings. So I’m thinking that they might work well on the Sawstop.

So does anyone know if this will work? Also, I would appreciate comments regarding whether or not this is a good idea and why.

Thanks

There’s probably not a lot of people out there who just happen to have two saws, one by each maker. If you post a pic of your extensions with some measurements, maybe a shot of where they attach to the saw etc., then someone with the other saw could take a look and see.

as long as you are willing to make any needed holes in the SS CI top OR in the CI extension wings, as long as the top and wings are both 27” deep, it should work fine.

I took a measurement and they are exactly 27 inches. So this just might work.
