I have a potential client interested in a double rocking chair in Sweden. The only issue that I have is that I have not shipped anything overseas yet. Anyone have any experience with shipping from the United States to Europe?

I live in Pennsylvania.

Nobody? Maybe all the pros are on vacation until after New Year’s, so I’m just bumping this up for you.

I’ve shipped packages overseas to England and Australia, not continental Europe and only with USPS. (A double rocking chair would be too big for USPS). You can get a feel for the postage rates with the UPS/FEDEX websites.

Call a freight company that deals with shipping to Europe. They’ll
want to know the size of the crate and the weight and will be
able to tell you the pallet footprints they prefer.

Have your say...
