I’m wondering what the local wood sources are around here.

Or what I should be looking for online (term wise)?

I’m mainly looking to get plywood suitable for making closet built-ins and bookcases as well as some planks of solid wood for side table and entryway table tops.

Thanks very much!

Hi DKV –
Thanks for the image. I wasn’t really sure what exactly to look for – or who might be a good local resource.

I came across those doing my initial searches, guess I was mainly looking for recommendations. :)

Edensaw over in Pt Townsend is the premier source for materials in that area. They ship too.

Crosscut Hardwoods has the best prices in Seattle for wood. I try to buy stuff from people off craigslist since that’s the cheapest way to go, but Crosscut if that fails.

Crosscut has the specialty ply you are looking for, but if you want hardwood veneer ply, it’ll cost you. I believe a 4×8x3/4 sheet of Walnut Ply was $135.

Pt. Townsend is quite a haul to get lumber.
