Hello LJs,

I have a Jet 6” jointer (model jj6csdx) and need to replace the knives. I have looked all over the web and most sites talk about people replacing the standard Jet 6” knives, not the deluxe version ones . I read where these are quick-set knives and that they are apparently harder to find than standard knives, but was wondering if anybody had any source to find these knives at. They are a tad expensive when purchasing directly from Jet (~$87).

Any help would be appreciated. I hope everyone has a wonderful and safe Christmas. Thanks.

Brian

I would buy Infinity solid carbide in 6in I think they are around 100.00 for a set maybe 150.00 but really have you looked at a byrd shellix head that would resolve your matter in a grand way

I have a local guy that sharpens them for 18 cents an inch, he does my 15 inch planer knives and my 8 inch jointer knives. Should have some one around that does sharping.

definitely look for a blade sharpener it will save you on saw blades as well. There is a local guy I go to for my stuff who charges a fair price for his work

Found odd size for a 20” Brazil made Delta-Invicta planer here. Fast shipping to Canada, had them in a week , excellent price for 4 knives.
