Topic tags/keywords: wood working schools learning teaching joining finishing

Hello fellow WWs,
I am considering attending a WW school to better my skills in several areas such as mark up and cutting, and more importantly in Joinery. I would like to know if any of you have any recommendations for any schools in the Chicagoland area. I live in Northwest Indiana which is actually a suburb of Chicago. My city is right on the border of the state line and Chicago suburbs. I would like to hear recommendations for any schools in the area. I’ve seen some online like the Chicago School of Woodworking and Woodsmyths of Chicago but I don’t know which if any are good. I would also be interested to hear about any in the state of Indiana because I don’t mind traveling downstate at all. It could be for weeklong classes or preferably weekend classes.
Please let me know if you have any suggestions.

Marc Adams is in downstate Indiana. I’ve taken a weekend class there and the facility is very nice indeed. Highly recommended, and the course list for next year should be coming out in the next 30 days or so.
