So what do you guys think about the Powermatic 6-inch jointer with quick set knives? I found a used one and was wondering how much I should pay for it?

If its the long bed model and its in good shape, thats a great tool. Not sure on the pricing, but I’d guess $300 – $400 would be about right.

I agree with Paul, they’re nice machines. In the last couple of areas I’ve lived in though, they bring closer to $500-600.

I just looked on Minneapolis CL and there is one for $800. I bet that tool cost $500 when it was new. Who would have thought that tools would be such a great investment! :) For that money I would try to find an 8” jointer.

Hey thanks for the replies!!! I don’t want an 8 inch one have no need for one that big I have a planer already.
