What is your favorite way to texture and decorate your turnings? What tools to you use? I’ve seen people use paint stripper wheels on a drill, wire brushes, sorby and wagner texturing tools and others. What is your favorite tool and method? Time to spill all your secrets ;)

Texturing/chattering end grain lot easier with a dull gouge. Have gotten nice rippling effect on birdhouse tops using that method. First video tells you a texturing tool not so hot on side grain. Both videos extol the virtue of using hard wood.

Turners have made their own texturing and chatter tools can find instructions and videos on-line.
