Hi everyone. I recently bought a Dewalt DW733 Portable planer to which I’m very pleased with, BUT I cannot for the life of me understand why it seems more shavings exit the front than out through the vac port?
I would appreciate any views/comments to help me comprehend this, but even more so if anyone has a solution to save me clearing up so much mess.
Many thanks and HAPPY HOLIDAYS to ALL.
Steve

Mine tends to blow them everywhere to.
I just mutter and vacuum them up.
Probably just a less than stellar design.

David, you’re cheating…that’s not a DW733… But the sheet thing is cool anyway.
Does it inflate the collector all by itself?

I just took the exhaust cover off and the debris flies out the back.

Take the top off and clean it out good. I have a 735 (like your picture!) and I don’t have that problem.
