Thought it would be cool to see if there were other Lumber Jocks in Maryland. I have been woodworking as a hobby for the past couple of years. I had been wanting to have my own shop since I was a kid and had to wait until I hit my 40’s to make it happen. After years of watching Norm and NYWS I finally took the plunge. So now I am in the Anne Arundel County area between Baltimore and Annapolis. Anyone else in the area?

Too funny, today as I was cleaning/reorganizing my shop, I was thinking it would be nice to have some fellow local woodworkers to hang our with or bounce ideas off of. I thought, maybe I should post to some of the forums to see if I can find any. I came to LJ’s to write my first post and low and behold, I had already done it, just about a year ago. Seems it didn’t lead to any new woodworking friends, since no one replied, but at least I only have to bump this thread instead of creating a new one. So anyone from the Baltimore/Annapolis Maryland area?

If you’re able to, check in at the Baltimore Woodworking Show next weekend. There will likely be a motley crew of folks assembling there.

Hey Paul,

I am in Montgomery County—about 1 hour drive west (ish) from you.

From time to time I have noticed various LJ members are from Maryland. I think that you will have better lick with your call for ‘Maryland Woodworkers’ if you head upstairs from the Coffee Lounge Basement into one of the more frequented forums. I rarely peruse the Coffee Lounge and only by accident did I stumble on it.

I would be interested in getting together to talk about all things wood.

Cheers!

Greg
