If you have any cabinet builders around you try calling them. I found I can get certain types of wood from a local place that builds cabinets. I live in Texas so not sure if same in Canada.

Yep, there’s a place just south of Ontario, called the United States—they have plenty of walnut available. :) Sorry, couldn’t resist.

There’s a Windsor Plywood in Thunder Bay, they will have walnut but they’re not cheap. Nice quality wood, though.

See if there is a P. J. s hardwoods in your area, have one here in Edmonton and they have lots of real nice 8/4 planks.

No PJs in Ontario—they’re just in BC and AB. Same with Reimer.
