Good buy. I subscribed to them for about 2 years. Loved the magazine! I renewed online but they kept sending me renewals in the mail. I even faxed the copy of the online renewal but that didn’t work. They still insisted on a renewal payment. I cancelled as I got tired of fighting with them.

Yes, they love to demand eternal renewal.
My last issue had a letter in the bag with the mag that offered a stern warning that my time is running out; I knew that, I’m 64 years old.
But my subscription does not expire till 2016.
These people drive me nuts with this crap. I dropped the magazine once because of it.
But I do like the magazine. I just HATE their marketing department. Hope they have a lousy Christmas.

The “time is running out” letter I received in the mail offered to renew my subscription for only $39 when you visit there web site you can’t look at the first page without a pop-up offering it for $28. This is the reason I will not be renewing my subscription. A current subscriber should not be gouged $11 over the website price. I hope their marketing department has a horrible Christmas as well.

So other than the annoying renewal bits, is the magazine worth it? $15 for two years seems a good deal.

I signed up for a FREE preview issue of a woodworking magazine a couple of months ago. I have yet to receive my Free preview issue but I have most certainly received a lot of request to pay for a subscription…
