Question about finishing oak ply

I made the door to the vanity using 3/4 oak with a 1/4 slot for the door panel which is oak veneer.

I probably should have asked this before I did it, but too late now.

I put a coat of Charles Neil color conditioner on the whole door which is what I did also for the frame to kind of tone down the stain I’m using.

Should I do anything special when staining the oak ply?

And for all of you who helped me out on the glue or staple question, thanks, – one door is finished and the other is in glue up now.

Stay with the same schedule and you should be fine,

Good to know Charles. Of course I’m going to do a test piece but just wanted to make sure there wasn’t something completely wrong with what I’m doing.
